Judith Tschann, author of a new history of food-related language, Romaine Wasn't Built in a Day, joins us for That Word Chat, 4:30 p.m. ET Tuesday,

Tschann is professor emerita at the University of Redlands in California, where she taught medieval studies and served for five years as chair of the English Department. She earned her PhD at Stony Brook University, where she specialized in Old and Middle English literature and the history of the English language. She has received a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship and has lectured and written for academic and popular audiences.
