Fred Shapiro, editor of The New Yale Book of Quotations, is our guest for the October 26 edition of That Word Chat with Editor Mark Allen.
Shapiro is associate director for Collections and Special Projects at the Yale Law Library, and he has published many books and scholarly and popular articles about language, law, and information science. He was the first to use online searching of historical texts for lexicographical research, and he is the leading contributor to the Oxford English Dictionary. He has been the principal planner and implementer of the Making of Modern Law digital legal history resources.
