Editor and sensitivity reader Crystal Shelley is our guest for the October 12 edition of That Word Chat with Editor Mark Allen.
Shelley is a licensed clinical social worker and the owner of Rabbit with a Red Pen, where she provides editing and authenticity reading services to fiction authors. She says advocating conscious language use and inclusive representation in her editorial work unites her love of language and her passion for social justice.
She is the creator of the Conscious Language Toolkits for Editors and Writers, and she serves on the executive committee of ACES: The Society for Editing.
