Roy Peter Clark, America’s writing coach and the author of the forthcoming Tell It Like It Is: A Guide to Clear and Honest Writing, returns for our next That Word Chat, 4:30 p.m. ET Tuesday on April 4.
He was our third guest on That Word Chat, in April 2020, joining us from his home in St. Petersburg, Florida, soon after the release of Murder Your Darlings, And Other Gentle Writing Advice from Aristotle to Zinsser. Clark has been exploring the concept of public writing in an age of misinformation, and his new book offers “a practical guide to writing with clarity, honesty, and conviction.”
Clark is senior scholar at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. He has written or edited 20 books on writing and journalism, including Writing Tools and The Art of X‑Ray Reading. We will talk to him about all this, as well as rock and roll and pelicans.
