As Oxford Dictionaries embarks on an ambitious new dictionary projectThe Oxford Dictionary of African American English, we'll hear from Danica Salazar, Oxford's executive editor for World Englishes.

Planned in conjunction with the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University, the dictionary will document this rich and influential variety of English using the historical approach of the Oxford English Dictionary

Dr. Salazar leads editorial projects for the many varieties of English, and she researches and writes world English entries for the Oxford English Dictionary. She publishes and lectures regularly on lexicography, phraseology, world Englishes, and Spanish- and English-language teaching.
